Is Big Design in Small Space Possible?

One of the benefits of using Bilionite Solid Surface is that we can manufacture surface with maximum 6 meters by 2 meters seamlessly.  However, there’s a lot of moving parts in terms of designing the perfect layout for a space, especially when designing something that is very wide. While a big space is available and full of design potentials, there are several things that need to be taken into account when utilizing solid surface:
1. Transportation method
To ease mobility, transport using a regular pick-up is ideal for material up to 2.4 meters in width. What if the required size is larger than that? Will it still be possible to execute? Another alternative would be using a 6-wheeler truck, which can accommodate size up to 4 meters wide.  However with this alternative available, note that the mobilization is only possible if done at night, because the time restriction on most cities for this size of vehicle to be in operation.
2. Presence of (service) elevator
When the material needs to be taken up to the second story upwards, ideally it should be done using a (service) elevator. While material weight is not a problem because solid surface’s weight per meter is significantly less than other natural stones, the width poses a restriction. When the material is positioned diagonally, a service elevator can transport up to 3.4 meters in width.
Do these restrictions mean that you have to make peace with designing something less than 3.4 meters wide? No! With Bilionite, width restriction is not an issue. When the above issue come forth, it is possible for us to cut the material for ease of transportation and mobilization. Seamlessness will still be possible because Bilionite’s bonding agent is identical to its base material. The end result will show that there are no visible lines between the seams.
So, do you plan on making a 4 meter, 5 meter, or anything wider? Bilionite is the answer for your design conundrum. Contact us for further details.
