Being Lightweight is an Advantage in Building Material Selection   

The more we familiarize ourselves with solid surface, and the more projects that we tackle; we realize that solid surface is comparatively lighter than other surface material. The average weight of marble per square meter is 24 kg. Because of its density, porcelain slab is heavier carrying 27 kg of weight per square meter. Bilionite solid surface on the other hand is only 18 kg per square meter. Does Bilionite’s light weight mean that it is not a good alternative for surface product? 

An independent study conducted in house says otherwise. The study shows how a slab of Bilionite still maintain its integrity even after being pressed down with weights over 150 kg. This proves that Bilionite is lightweight, yet strong. What is the significance of this information to your design project?
